The EJCC, Essex Jewish Community Council is made up of the chairs and other senior lay leaders and administrators of Jewish organisations in the North-East London and South West Essex area.
The objectives and policies of the council are:
- to promote, support, grow and develop our local community as a whole, encouraging community cohesion and developing a communal strategy;
- to promote and support activities and events run by Jewish organisations within the local community;
- to represent our community, both on a local level and nationally, acting as the authoritative voice of the community.
The EJCC is non-political and fully inclusive organisation, representing progressive and orthodox communities as well as other organisations that agree to comply with the EJCC’s objectives. The EJCC is also keen to reach any non-affiliated members of the community.
The EJCC is chaired by Daniel Rosenberg, a practising City lawyer and a former honorary officer of Chigwell & Hainault United Synagogue.
