The EJCC is a council comprising the chairs and other senior lay leaders of the major Jewish organisations in the North-East London and South West Essex area.
Our objectives are:
- to promote, support, grow and develop our local community as a whole, encouraging community cohesion and developing a communal strategy;
- to promote and support activities and events run by Jewish organisations within the local community;
- to represent our community, both on a local level and nationally, acting as the authoritative voice of the community.
We are a non-political and fully inclusive organisation, involving both the progressive and orthodox communities as well as other organisations that adhere to the EJCC’s objectives, while also trying to reach the currently non-affiliated members of our community.
The EJCC is chaired by Daniel Rosenberg, a practising City lawyer and a former honorary officer of Chigwell & Hainault United Synagogue.
